  • Just bought an e28, new to all of this.

Hello, I am Phelan from Denver, Colorado. I work full time and go to school for collision repair. A week ago I bought a 1987 BMW 535is. its been something that i have been wanting to do for some time now I drive a 1998 Jeep Wrangler and have always loved lower cars so I knew i had to buy one here it is

    -1987 bmw 535is
    -160,XXX miles
    -wheels from an 1998 bmw
( one side kinda chrome one side dark grey? not to sure why it was done like this )

I bought it as is from this guy who neglected it and didn't treat it so well it was like he let a dog live in it ( DOG HAIR EVERYWHERE AND I MEAN EVERYWHERE ) painted over my front emblem and broke almost every clip on the interior . I havent done anything to this yet. let me know what you guys think

Also i use instagram ALOT @phelan_anufrijevas

Yeah I plan on getting a ground control or air set up for my suspension but first I want to get it working 100% so I'm not putting mods in a car that will break down on me I am also refinishing my interior .. I'm a student for auto collision so I'm going to re paint it and get it as clean as I can but first I want everything working properly .. I'm on a budget so it might take me awhile but it's fun and I can't wait to start making progress

Thank you ! I love this car I know alot of people have them but I think it's a beautiful car and I can't wait to make progress on it! Yeah when I get it back from getting my transmission serviced I'm removing them. I am currently trying to temporarily lower my car till I get enough money to get a air set up . But I don't want to cut them and bounce everywhere . Because i know I want to get some lowage.

Welcome! And cut springs on an E28 dont ride bad. Cut about 2-3 coils off and it doesn't bounce or any of that nonsense. Hell I've cut 4 and I don't bounce at all. It's hella stiff but not too terribly bad.
