Name is Sean, located in South Florida, second car was an E28 which really sparked my appreciation for BMW's and driving/racing. Did Intrax springs, Bilsteins and swaybars front and rear. Then side exit angle cut stainless pipes just ahead of the right rear tire. Sounded really nice. Sold that car in 2001, then went to buy it back in 2005 but it was totalled. That was pretty disappointing, and I've wanted to find a fairly clean one to make my own again ever since.
My original E28 just before paint:

Went for black with all satin trim, black tail light frames, and custom bumper deletes with filler panels in front.

Summer before college I worked at a dealer and got 3 damaged style19's for free, bought a damaged 4th and had them all refinished.
Here's on the style19's with 245's in back:

And the new car just after purchase:

It has 105k, I'm the 3rd owner, all original panels and paint, burgundy interior, no rips & back seats look never used. Plus it had pretty good maintenance records and a new alternator, fuel pumps. Seemed ok for $2000 asking price. Test drive, it ran great, after 10 minutes back in an E28 I knew I had to buy it, it's amazing how these cars feel compared to modern sedans. Headed back to work out a deal, and a puddle appears under the front. The waterpump had died, so I offered 1500 and he took it.
No huge plans yet, but I remember all the cool shit I couldn't afford when I was 18 so for sure Euro bumpers/lights, good suspension, full shadowline, 17inch wheels, probably keep the M30 and do ITB's but I have an S54 under the workbench that is begging to be put into something.... we'll see...
I even still have two of those style19's from my first E28 in the garage so I'd love to do something custom with them (17x10 style19's?) and sorta rebuild my old car but cooler.
Good to be an E28 owner again!
P.S. I h4te you Mike Burroughs!!
