  • Kozman's Mx73 Cressida

Hey guys new to this forum, I'm a honda kid from Melbourne Australia, current daily is a 1988 3g Prelude, it gets out and about to a few carshows and events in Victoria.

My most recent project and reason for joining is my Toyota mx73 Cressida.
Plans are to pull the engine which is currently fubar with valve damage, replace it with either a 1uz or 1jz, and swap out the current suspension with something a bit tougher, looking for massive drop and stylish stance on a set of old school jdm style rims, wantanbes etc
With most cars I've owned everything is being done by myself and my father who's been a hobbie mechanic for a long time.
So yeah so far we've diagnosed the engine, sanded back the peeling damaged roof and hood paint, and prepping it for respray.

Hopefully I have something to offer the forum in return for some much needed fitment knowhow

Here's some pic's of both the cars, aswell as a few others we are currently working on.
Alot of things on the cars change often, and some of these pics are old but enjoy anyway.

        Welcome!
good to see another cressida happening in melbourne. I helped a mate install coilovers in his, did half the job and he sold the car before we could finish

Nice wheels on the holden in the background too
Sarcasm is easily calculated on vortex dude. Take 4 parts GLI lip and divide by BBS RS. If you are left with a remainder, subtract it from omgmoarlow. Profit.

Any suggestions on getting low cheap, for now I'm going to do it lazy and just cut the springs. Looking at coilover sleeves after I get some decent rims under it.

Guess I should start a build thread.
