I am definitely new when it comes to forums and actually submitting posts or providing feedback. Have spent more and more time searching and reading various forums recently and after acquiring 'my first' BMW (84' 533i) I figured that it was about time to subscribe and see where it takes me. I hope to begin a built thread soon as self-inspiration for my project car. Hopefully others will weigh in and give helpful advice; who know, others might actually enjoy watching all of the inevitable mistakes that I will make along the way.
As hinted to above, I have 'owned', wrecked, and wrenched on several BMW's in the past several years, but after never being able to actually call one MY OWN, I scored this current project in the hopes of having a long-standing project which I am sure will suck tons of time, sweat, blood, and of course money. Of course there are other projects that I have going at the same time (i.e. my daily 01' Tahoe & 11' Triumph Speed Triple), however, I have a soft spot for vintage BMW's. Whereas my brother prefers his e30 w/ m50 swap, I'm partial to e28's with the 'Big 6'.
