  • New From San Antonio Tx : V6 Swapped MR2

just stopping by and makin my intro thread. Here to figure out what shit i wanna go with when i get to rims/tires/stance

    car:

    91 MR2
    2.2 N/A Chassis
    3vz-fe (3.0L V6) swap
    AP1 rims
    stock suspension

car is currently in "under construction" status. The car was previously wrecked and parted out. But the PO brought it back to life and restored the body, and did the swap. I am in the process of finishing everything and ive actually pulled the motor and am redoing everything. the PO just put the motor in just enough to work. Leaving me with a headache.

    as it sits currently....

im just waiting on toyota to call me and tell me my parts are in and it will be time to put back together. then its just a matter of redoing the harness and making it look nice.

    future plans:

    Olive flat paint all around
    Flat Black trim pieces
    Full black interior swap
    Coilover suspension

looking at maybe sitting it on some ADVAN 3 spokes.

lemme know whats up. Comments/Criticism always welcome.

camry or solara. really common swap for mr2s. can strap on a trd supercharger and be pretty quick if your not looking for a ton of power. never saw one put out as much power as the 3sgte, but the last 2 years i owned me mr2 i kind of stopped paying attention to what everyone was doing so they might be there now.

yea. not making as much power as the 3sgte, but for a daily driver it makes a wonderful swap. it drives smoother and sounds way better. the trd charger is freaking expensive (~$3k) and only makes 4lbs of boost.

there is a guy who swapped the 2gr from the new camrys/avalons, he sells a kit for it, total cost for kit plus motor is ~$2500 if you do it all yourself. and youll be making NSX times stock.

i loved my genIII 3sgte, but i've never got a chance to be in or drive a v6 powered one.
