  • Volvo from NJ

I've been a member for a while now and figured I should post up my cars.

I've had this car since 2005 and was my first car. It's on coils now but bags might be in the future

This one is an 1983 242DL that I got in non-running condition about 3 years ago. Prior to it sat since 1998 and was all original minus the aftermarket cassette player

    This is before:

And as of last weekend in Ocean City, MD

I love those 242s. What is the plan for that thing? V8 swap, I hope...

Looks great. Have you considered mounting a european grill and headlights? They look much better.

Love the rims, what kind are they?

GT setup looks better than the euro setup.

For the love of god get a painted hood on that car.

Thanks! 2JZ on a single turbo is the longterm goal though a V8 has crossed my mind multiple times

Thanks, 85 is with push button overdrive? That's what mine is and it works for now lol

I'll be staying with the GT front end for now. I have an early style grille and headlight surrounds that I might go to. The wheels are Corvette Salad shooters with adapters. Final et is 5 up front and -10 in the rear on a 8.5" square setup

Thanks Matt, I have a clean flathood that's in my room. Waiting on paint since the whole car might get painted

It's a T5 with intake, exhaust, and tune. It's a pretty basic setup on the car

I have an 2001 with 163,000 miles with the original trans. I consider myself very lucky with the mileage I have without having any trans issues. I've heard of them giving up 30k miles and on a stock car. Mine has taken the abuse of launching on sticky tires and 20+ PSI.

If you're really looking for a T5 wagon and it has to be automatic; try and find one that's 03 and up. Those years would be the safest bet. 01-02 had trans issues and throttle body problems. 05+ would be the way to go if you were keeping the car long term. They had a bigger turbo, 6 spd trans, facelifted, and painted moldings. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me or post in this thread

                          welcome fellow p2 estate. manual?
Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

                          Sincerely,
