  • Presage!

Been meaning to get over here for awhile now. Been around for awhile. Don't do all the forums too much but they can be extremely useful. It's an intro so I'll tell you I'm from Green Bay. I mostly do modest VW builds. I'm more into music than cars. I love making music, listening to good music, deejaying good music, making scratch songs, scratching in general, and I love playing music, live, with my band mates. I'm mostly affiliated with the MadSpeed crew as well as the Dubs In The Valley crew which are basically one in the same. I love those guys. Our little 3 state area from Illinois to Wisconsin to Minnesota has a nice, close nit scene in euros. Feels good brah! But anyways.....some of my past and present. Thanks for the interest.

Thanks man. The mk2 is now running 16x9 type T Borbets but it has just been sold. Sold to my homie Ben. He has had a few PVW features with his carbed caddy and the car was actually his at one time in the late 90s. Haha. Its virtually rust free and has only seen 3 winters since 91. I'm gonna miss that car ALOT! Just figuring on getting the wagon to be my own. Another modest lil build. Then I wanna do the maintenence update on my wifes mk4 and possibly buy/build something brand new in a couple years. I'm actually kinda burnt out on cars right now.

The wagon needs a lil more than I was expecting. The wheels in the pic didn't come with the car for obvious reasons seeing as they're pretty rare. It had bags on it but they were sold. The exhaust is one of the most cobbled together pos I've ever seen. It's just a bunch of little things so for now, I'm going through it mechanically so it's reliable first and foremost as it is a daily. Then Ill hit the little bit of body work it needs. I'll run some plan jane borbets on it through winter and then come spring I'll make a cool wheel choice and swap interior I think. The front end is basically mk3 golf stuff so it is a little narrower, I think, than the original front assembly. I dunno. I'm usually a deep dish guy but this car screams MAE Riversides or SSR Viennas. I almost pulled the trigger on some Tarmacs. I think it needs a pretty blocky wheel though.
