Hi all, I found this site while researching banded steelies. It seems like this would be a good community to join, as I am on a quest for more low... which seems to not be a popular goal in most sentra circles

I figured I'd share my ride, what I've done, and what I have planned.

    the boring:

    2004 Silver Nissan Sentra 1.8s
    --------------------------------------

    Purchased used in 09
    with 120,xxx on the odometer
    current:150,xxx miles
    --------------------------------------

    Exterior:
    --------------------------------------

    SpecV headlights
    SpecV sideskirts
    De-badged rear
    All bulb to LED swap
    Tinted license plate cover
    Thule roof rack
    Dakine surf pads
    3" stub antenna
Ultra Flat Military OD Green paintjob (rattle cans in a sandy drive way give me a break)
Random body accents painted ultra flat black (fog light holes, trunk keyhole, etc.)
    Mach 1 chin spoiler
    A TON of stickers...
Home made wind fairing (two skateboards cut and bonded)
    racoon tail (a toy weasel)
    --------------------------------------

    Interior:
    --------------------------------------

    Sony X-plode Head Unit
Rockford Fosgate R2-D4 10" DVC Sub
    Sealed 10" sub enclosure
Gutted sunglasses holder to mount GPS
    Awesome hand made plush goat
    Scanguage e
Blue andorized shift knob and black leather boot (its an Auto... laugh it up)
    --------------------------------------

    Engine Bay:
    --------------------------------------

    Battery Relocation to trunk
    Custom side dump exhaust
    2JR lightweight Crankshaft Pulley
Rigged ebay CAI used as a SRI w/ spectre filter
Kobalt "catch can" w/ spectre filter
    Strut bar
    Pacman theme valve cover
Blue LED bars mounted under the motor (to go with the valve cover theme)
    6000k HID's
hi & lo tone 80's Mercedes Benz horns
    --------------------------------------

    Suspension:
    --------------------------------------

TDMI coilovers 8k spring rate maxed out
    QT adjustable link
    --------------------------------------

    Wheels:
    --------------------------------------

    Steelies painted pumpkin orange
    BC Goodrich 195/60r15
    Andorized blue tuner lugs
    --------------------------------------

    Plans:
    --------------------------------------

    SpecV Taillights
New black lug nuts and wheel studs
new wheels 15x8 with a low offset wrapped in Kumo ectas 195/50r15
    Rockymounts Bike rack
Fighter Jet style Toggle switch to control Overdrive
    Rally Style mud flaps
Fab a skid plate (just lost a cv boot to a root)

    the less boring:

I'll post up better pictures another time

In short I want to go lower. my frame rails are 3.5" off the ground in the front and 4.5" in the back. Running the lower tire profile will help, and installing the mach 1 lip and side skirts would create the illusion, but I want to be low not pretend low. My coilovers are maxed out in the back and could go a bit lower in the front. Anyone have any ideas?

    here is one problem:

the frame rails sit higher than everything else. my cat sits equally as low, and there isn't much room for it to be lifted up to create additional clearance

looks like cut springs, rattle can job and a bunch of stickers? get some coilovers and widen the factory steelies and rattle can it flat khaki. that would be dope. is it an automatic?

you've got everything right but the springs. it's sitting on fully adjustable coilovers already. tranny swap comes in the spring, the stick is there because it was cheaper to get that than the oem nissan replacement. Getting my steelies widened was my initial plan, but I can't find anyone local to do it for very cheap. I might as well buy wheels offline somewhere based on the quotes I got

an update, nothing too exciting, fitted a mustang mach 1 lip on instead of the garage door sealer and the specV sideskirts

I also found out the easiest way to get low is run over a screw:

I'll be getting my new tires and wheels in the next few weeks, but I'm still not sure how to go lower since my coilovers are maxed out currently ( although I haven't touched the spring perches much).. I'd like to drop another 2"...

            any ideas?

thanks man, i wanted banded steel initially but I could get a decent set of wheels for the same price as I could get them banded locally and they would weigh half as much... So I'm going that route. The new set will be gold or powder coated cream...

                      thanks man!

I only have one spring on each of the coilovers currently (which is how they came), So I don't think I have a helper spring... I can drop the upper perch though which lets the main spring move around, but It didn't seem like a good idea to leave it like that..
