New in NC with an R and an e28!

What's up guys... my name's Ben, I'm 18 and I live in central NC. I've lurked for a long time but decided to make an account because I might finally have something pertinent to the forum!

My cars are a 2004 Volvo S60 R and a 1988 BMW 528e. (both manual, of course...) The Volvo is all stock (except for my super cool plastidipped grill ) and the BMW is actually fairly modded, with all late 90s parts. It has Bilsteins with Bavarian Autosport springs, a Bavarian Autosport CAI and chip, a short throw shifter, custom exhaust, etc. I just picked it up for 600 bucks to play with this summer and hopefully fix up some. Oh, by the way, it has over 300,000 miles on it. Seeing as it's already lowered, I might as well post it!

My plans for the Volvo aren't much... maybe some springs and a tint, because having a black car is brutal in this heat.

Love the S60r, always loved them. Trying to talk my dad into putting some R wheels on his 04 s60 2.5t awd. What color interior does yours have? Always thought the "saddle" in that era volvo looked gangster.

Hey man, we make regular trips up to Asheville. Maybe ill be brave enough to drive my E28 there and we can meet up. My car came with bav auto springs and Bilstein sports too. Do you rear springs feel real soft and mushy? On mine the front was stiff and the back would compress and unload like a boat. It got a lot better after i cut the springs though.

Hey everyone, since this thread got bumped I figured I'd let you guys know that neither of these cars are in fact still mine.

I sold the e28 at the end of August right before I went to school because I couldn't afford the ~4000 bill I was quoted to get it to pass inspection. If I towed it to some crappy little shop in the boonies it probably would've passed, but I woudln't have been able to deal with the car the whole year and it would've just sat and gotten worse off than it already was. Sold the car for $600 in mostly running condition (carb cleaner down the intake! woohoo!) to a painter who still uses it as his DD.

Then the S60R I sold at the end of December because I couldn't afford the repairs on it. Those things are a total bitch to maintain (struts are ~700 bucks a corner). Also it made my gf (now ex) carsick whenever she rode in it. Another stupid decision.

Anyway, this is what I have now. Bare-bones (no options whatsoever, interior of the 4cyl rental car version) 2009 Mazda6 with the 3.7L engine and a set of H&R springs. Crappy Home Depot lip too. Wheels to come soon as well as coils, even though I just bought the springs.
