  • One More Volvo... Cincy and Chi-Town

Hey, I wanted to make my introduction, my name is John. I go to school at the University of Cincinnati and live in the north suburbs of Chicago. I have a 1999 Volvo S80 with some mods including Eibach springs and some 18" Enkies for the summer. I have always been interested by low cars and once I got mine a bit lowered I just want to go lower, I might cut a coil in the rear or try to custom make coilovers for the rear end since there are none that are made for my car but the KWs for the S60R will work but will not be warrantied since they aren't going on an S60R. I'll let the pictures do the talking and I've been backing Matt (mattphi) up on VolvoSpeed when everyone bashes on low/stretched/rubbing/crazy offset setups on Volvos. I'm looking to get some adapters to a different bolt pattern so that I can run some fancier wheels with better offset and general stance.

I'll let some pictures do the talking.

Let me know what you think and hopefully I get some ideas from you guys and help achieve better stance for another Volvo.
    -John

John, what is the offset on those wheels? It looks pretty flush.

I'm thinking we just need to get you slammed. Another thing that might help would be getting the black trim color matched.

you know, I get that a lot, people look at it and realize they like it after theres been some work done to it, stock they aren't impressive but since its one of the more stanced out S80's people seem to like it.

I forget the offset, I run a 5mm spacer with the tuner lugs, I wish there was a way to get longer tuner lugs so I could run like a 10 mm spacer... then i'd be set, but I agree I just need to be lower.

I thought about color matching the trim but if I did that then I need to get rid of the tiny chrome trim on the side pieces. Not quite sure how I would go about that besides just having them paint it too.
