It's a lot of fun to drive, but in the peak months from late spring to the end of summer there is a lot of traffic, mostly motorcycles. There have been 4 deaths this year so far including one the weekend before I went.
The weather held out for us long enough to make the trip. It's probably covered in snow by now. It was pretty much my only shot for driving it before I move to Houston in Dec.
Don't worry I googled it as soon as I was this :p im a coupl of days drive away if not more (quebec) so I won't be going anytime soone but it would make for a cool vacation!
Fall must make for nice scenery and amazing pictures

Left Va Beach Friday at 5:30pm and drove almost 500 miles to Sylva, North Carolina. Spent the night, got up on Saturday and continued driving another 70 miles to Deals Gap, NC to make a couple passes on Tail of the Dragon. Tail of the Dragon if you've never heard of it is on the border of NC/TN. 318 turns in 11 miles.
Here are a couple links from Killboy.com of me driving on the Tail:

Made 2 full passes on the Tail of the Dragon. Started another run, but decided halfway through to turn around after the left front wheel bearing starting complaining loudly on hard corners. Master cylinder is starting to go also, so pedal feel was pretty mushy.
Stopped by Asheville, NC to pick up a set of wheels for a friend & delivered them to Raleigh on the way home.
1300+ miles in 32 hours. Not bad for a 28 year old car with 293,000 miles.
I've got a set of these in 17x8 that I was trying to sell, but after H2Oi I'm probably going to refinish them & put them on the wagon.
Have to get the fenders rolled first & it's going to take a little more work to fit them in the rear.
