Wassup guys, this is my supercharged Saturn Ion Redline...met my performance goals so now Im tryna get some proper stance in my life.

Bought some rotas to see what kinda limits I could push, seems like extending an extra 37mm is about my limit w/minimal camber adjustments. Phase one was on progress springs/18x8.5" grids wrapped in 215/40 Falkens/20mm 5x110-to-5x114 spacers/adapters.

    Stage 2 mission:

    -Kill wheel gap!
    -A more aggressive wheel
    -Proper Stance
-Acquire another set(2) of the 9.5" Sawblades

Stole the idea of the always creative v-dub guys...I feel, if nebody else can rock some c4 sawblades, why not a vehicle actually out of the gm performance division to embrace some retro styling??!

Picked em up yesterday, got rid of the rotas cuz I heard baby Jesus ***** em! I mean I drive a Saturn, your not gonna see any CCW Classics on her...well, maybe

I wanna run 9.5 all the way around so if you know of someone that will sell me just those 2, it'd be nice. Got the tracking number for my B&G RS2 coil-overs, they should be hear anyday now. I don't care if we got two feet of snow, Im still slamming her, well gonna attempt it at least. I think this solid rear beam axle could be an issue for the back, I hope not.

The sawblades are 56mm offset for sure right?? Thanks for looking....Im gonna go back to lurking scavenging the threads.

I like these cars as much as I like Cobalts... Not verry much, but I am truly interested in seeing what you are capable of. So far it seems like you have good taste, and the guy on here with a Cobalt changed my mind, so... Im deffinatly in to see what happens.

Fair enough, Ill see what I can do to sway your opinion towards the good side, though usually most ppl dont even know what an RL is enough to not like it haha....ill make sure to keep ya posted, thanks on the input.

Haha sooo true, but you can't deny the style. It sounds to me like hes got the right idea, But I kinda like the TE37 reps... well see.

Thanks, yea a lot of the Balts tend to get a bad rep for being just like the skittle owners...thankfully theres not enough RL owners to really mess our name up TOO much.

Yea, I thought about it also, these engines really do well w/turbos...It was either a turbo build or some coil overs, I chose the stance haha, maybe in the spring.

definitely seems that way...actually B&G RS2s are the only coil overs I can get for this car, good thing I guess. I think I've always been a v-dub guy at heart just didnt want the "maintanence hassles." Plus $200 for sum 17x8.5/9.5?? Cant beat that. And yea, I liked the saws on the dubs haha. Definitely goin' the Euro route for the next vehicle, moving to Spain next summer so hopefully I find something nice out there.

Coil overs came in today. When this 2 feet of snow we got the other day disappears a lil more, I'll throw together a lil build thread.

                          Welcome.

My '07 Cobalt SS is currently up for sale.

I won't miss it at all.

But I DO give you alot of credit for thinking outside the box and wanting to stance out a GM Delta body.

Good luck and enjoy your stay!

Its not even that.......but you are 110% correct on that matter. The '08 SS/TC w/ the LNF has ALOT of advantages over the '05-'07 (well, Ion Redlines actually came out in '04). Better brakes (Brembos), forged alloys, much nice factory suspension, alot bigger side bolsters on the factory seats, tons more hp/tq, launch control/no lift shift.......*sigh*.....such a nice car that really doesn't get the respect it deserves.

However......i'm just bored with Cobalts in general. Its nothing against them......but i've owned mine for over 3 years now and i'm just bored with it. Back when I got the car, I really wanted an RX-8, as I grew up on rotaries. But, insurance and sticker shock was too high back for me back then. But now, I make more money, my insurance has gone down, and RX-8's can be picked up for cheap now
