  • New guy from Indy

Hello all, I'm Drew. I'm an art student and I drive a 2004 Subaru WRX.

I bought the car in completely stock form a little over a year ago from a dealership on the north side of Chicago.

It's been a rather slow work in progress thus far, but it's coming along. When I bought the car, I immediately wanted to lower it, but didn't want to spend the money on coilovers at the time (thanks to being a broke student) so I went online and found a set of 04 STI takeoff struts, and a set of Tanabe GF210 springs. I was satisfied with that for about a week...

I won't bore anyone with the remaining mod list, but I will let you know that coilovers have been ordered, and will be put on as soon as I can find a set of wheels that wet my fancy. I'm thinking 17x9 CR-KAI's, but we'll see.

    Here's a recent picture

Well, I decided on a Matte Bronze set of Work CR-KAI's.

I reckon that 17x9's with a nice +38 offset should look pretty dandy on the car.

The Works have been put on the back burner for the time being. In the meantime, I picked up a very cheap set of beater/dd wheels wrapped in some nice and meaty 245's.

Wheel specs: 17x9 Rota Grids +30 offset.

I love it. I need to dial in some more camber up front, as they rub a tiny bit on hard corners and big bumps, but not a big deal.

I need to crank the coilovers down a little more as well.

              Excuse the poor iPwn photos.

Agreed! Needs more low for sure.

Yes, the red things are my horns. They're Hella Supertones, and they're quite loud.
