You don't need a sway bar, lol. Looks good, be careful on the rear.

And I'll be cranking the rear torsion bars down to match.

I can only get another 1 1/2 inches or so-- 2 tops-- out of the front before my tie rods start hitting my sway bar. I'm not sure how much ground clearance that'll leave me with... probably about 3 1/2 inches, which would be pretty hardcore on VT roads!

And the list of mods to come:

    MOAR LOWS!!!!!!!!
Mid America Motorworks Iron Cross Rims and 135SR-15 low-profile tires
    Dechroming
Another sectioned front bumper on the rear (follows the body line much better!)
Chromed Vintage Holley Bugspray 2-barrel Carb
Eventually a turbo and possibly EFI
    Shaved and relocated turn signals
    A2 GTI Interior

By the end of this summer, the Beetle should look something like this crappy MS Paint:

    Another Aircooler

Hi all, I've been lurking in the shadows for a year or so now, I guess it's finally time for me to show myself! My ride is a 1973 Super Beetle, definitely still a work in progress, but she's getting there! Right now the list of mods includes:

Lowered 2 3/4 inch in front via homemade non-adjustable coilovers
    Topline 7/8 inch front swaybar
    3/4 inch rear swaybar
    Shaved trim
    Sectioned and tucked front bumper
Merged Extractor-style Header and Empi Quiet Pack Muffler

Here are some pics: (Please forgive the quality, I had to copy them from my Facebook to my Flickr)

    When I first got her:
