Sadly my e21 daily ended up like this....
So I decided to rebuild once I found a rot free shell.
My 2002 has taken on daily driver duties.
The LEDA kit also has TAS top mounts front and rear. A bonus as they're NLA!
The coilovers themselves are going back to Gaz and they are going to refurb' them for me. Mick @ Pristine has an identical set and they've done a nice job. I also need to make a decision on spring rates though.
Also decided to go with the e12 M535 LSD and de-cambered rear beam that was fitted in the old MIB. I had thought of selling it but it makes sense to keep it really, so that when that turbo goes on eventually, I won't be snapping driveshafts!
I also think I've found a pair of gorgeous seats. They're Scheels taken from an e3 CSL and they're lovely.
I think I need to give the rear beam a coat of fresh paint.
Also picked up a piggy-back ECU from Dastek which will mean we can make the most of the m52. 8)
New rims need diamond cutting and anthracite spokes to look their best.
Progress!
Eventually I hope to get a turbo on the M52/2.8 and aim for 400bhp.
Excuse the poor pictures but these seats and wheel should be awesome once refurbished.
Just wish it wasn't Christmas as it's bound to delay things.

Well a year has passed and we've done a fair amount of work on the new e21 316. I'd hope it would have been finished but with searching out parts, waiting on refurbishment and building up the engine, the time has simply flown past.
Anyway, here are a few update pics to bring things up to date.
Colour choice changed from Fire Orange to Laguna Seca Blue.
The whole braking system has been redesigned to lose the awful linkage system that converted to RHD. The whole engine bay is way cleaner and less cluttered now.
E36 manifold needing a little work to fit.
New 298mm rotors and billet 4 pots.
M52/2.8 went in on custom mounts and has m50 inlet, super light flywheel, big bore throttle body and Cat Camshafts.
Dual billet mounts for the E12 LSD
New gauges arrived.
I don't like satin black on the grill, so opted for black chrome.
Wheels are staggered 8 & 9J x 15's
Awaiting a 320is front lip from the States, so ride height can be set and the arches dressed for clearance. We want to get as low as we can whilst still being drivable on UK roads.
Next week we should finally start prep work prior to paint and final fitting up of the shell. A rear cage is fitted and the interior will be trimmed in black, with Recaro from an Audi, Prototipo steering wheel and billet gearknob. ICE install is all Nakamichi with speakers from Focal.
Engelmann mirrors.
Hopefully the finished car will match some of those on here.
