Leakin bead on stretched tire... Need help

Hey I'm running 225/40 on a 9.5" wide rim, I know it's not too crazy but one of the tires won't hold air. The weird part is that it holds air until I put the weight of my car on it, then right on the bead only In one spot the air rushes out. I only have it around 38 psi so I was thinking of increasing that but other then replacing the tire I'm not sure what else I could do.
The tire is on an older 3 piece weds wheel and it's leaking on the lip side so I thought it could be the finished chipped? Or possibly dirt between the tire and rim. Idk I'm new to this so any suggestions would help

are you using a ton of bead sealer? I'm running 215/40 on a 9.5 and it does the same one side - think i just got a reseat it and gonna put a ton of bead sealer on next time.

38? that is pretty high, i usually don't run more than 35psi myself.

i usually only run about 35psi, but ive heard with stretched tires it can help to have them a bit harder.
and no im not using any bead sealer.
for me it seems like the bead just isnt completely set in that one spot, but fountain tire wouldnt put it on their bead sealing thing because they said that much stretch isnt safe lol

swap the tire with another wheel on your car to see if its the wheel or tire thats causing the problem!

Had the same issue I had the tire remounted with bead sealer and no more leaking.

Yup, find a shop to pull it off and put back on with bead sealer. That should do ya.

thanks for the info just had a shop break the bead and reseal it, no bead sealer and that worked

38psi is what I ran my 205/50 on 9", weren't really even that stretched either.

I ran 35 psi when i first got my tires mounted. three were good and seated fine, one would leak about 2psi an hour. I filled it up to 42 and it beaded fine and hasn't leaked at all since.

i always run a little more psi when i have a lot of stretch. what you can do is put a tad more air and drive it for a few days. the heating and cooling of the tires also makes like a glueish like grip. i just learned this yesterday at a tire shop. im running a 245 on 12 with no leaking anymore.
