Bagged Corvair van from Northern California

Hello everyone, my name is Joe Im from Antioch Ca. and Iam going bonkers over some of the pics on this forum.

I have a bagged 1962 Chevy Corvair 8-door panel van. Ive had it four years now just bagged last summer. It needs to be redone cause its not low enough for me. It has a 145c.i. 80 h.p. flat six rear engine, and a powerglide transmission. I bought the van off the original owner, who bought it in october in 1961 as a fleet vehilce for his catering company in San leandro, Ca. Here are some pics, hope you like.

This is great! I just started a 62' Corvair monza bag project. Do you have more pics/info on the current set up youre running??? Any help would make my build much easier!

sup? ill tell you everything i know...or can remember. i bought a universal kit. and some friends installed it. the biggest problem was the front coil houseing was waaaaay to small to fit the bags, so i had to purchase sleeve type bags to fit. The rears, we just made some brackets pretty simple. i havent mounted shocks yet but would strongly suggest installing them. John at NotStock Photography has a bagged van also but its way cleaner than mine, he might have more info then i do. also corvaircenter.com, that forum has a few bagged corvair cars and the people are awsome with Corvairs. its a good resource to have. hope this helped. ill post picks of my set up soon.

Did you ever get shocks on it? Did they just put the brackets on top of the control arms? We modified the factory arm so that the bag sits in the control arm it gives you a couple more inches It might just be the angles but mine looks to sit a little lower.

no shocks yet, i do really need to get on that, lol. someone sent me a video of a bodydropped 95, it was laying on the body, pretty sick, but then they deleted the video for some reason.

Im lookin into getting side doors with windows for both sides, making it a half and half. wont be cheep or easy to find
