  • Love from the Lou

Hey everyone, first post here, so let me tell you about myself. I live in St Louis, I'm 18 and I currently drive an Audi A4. I'm trying to sell the A4 (even though it would look beautiful slammed). I also have been playing guitar almost 10 years and I write music. Favorite bands: Every Time I Die, Pretty Lights, Dillinger Escape Plan, Decemberists and B.o.B. I listen to everything though.

Anyway, I have a proposed project, and I want to see if anyone else thinks this would be a cool idea. I want to start with a stock C4 corvette, like so (pre-facelift)

I want to turn it into something similar to the 240z below. Since they have similar body shape, it shouldn't be too hard.

I'm thinking either the same color as the one below, or more of the rusted look. Also, I want to find some bolt-on fender flares, and space the wheels out an inch or so on each side. I would prefer bronze wheels, or some crazy neon color. I don't really want to stretch the tires, however. Not more than the one pictured. I'd finish off the car with some misc. decals and such.

I want to do this because I am obsessed with American muscle, but I also like cars with a stance. What do you think? Would this work or would it look like crap?

and stay away from neoncoloured wheels

This could look so badass. Lets see what you come up with.

I'd love to have this done by the end of summer, but right now I'm short on cash (and short a corvette) so be patient

You could probably just use the Datsun 240Z ZG flares in the rear, not sure about the front since the vette has the more pronounced arch, but it would be worth the money to pick up a set for a test fit. Lots of guys have stuck them on first and second gen RX-7's and they come out alright. I'd love to see you carry this project through. Be interesting and different, and that's what modding is about.

                    Good luck.

I'm hoping that I can do that if they don't make any specifically for a vette, and if not im sure there's some sort of body kit out there that I could pull parts from for a similar effect.

I personally **** corvettes, but I think it'd be cool just because I've never seen it done. You should be able to find one in pretty nice shape for around $2500-3000.

I wanna make out with that example 240. Just sayin...

I haven't found them quite that cheap around here, but buying the car isn't the issue, paying for mods is.
