Hey whatsup guys, i finally decided to make an account after trolling the site for a while. Anyways my name is Daniel, I have a 1996 240sx. I bought it after selling my prelude because I wanted to go boost, and decided boost on a fwd wasnt worth it to me. Heres a pic after about a year of modding (poor high school kid)

I had plans of supercharging, but went to japan for vacation, and came back wanting an s14, so I parted it out and bought an s14 in august before i started college, so I had a month before I started school and needed to get it painted by then. Heres a pic of when I bought the POS.

The guy who owned it before me did some janky work, and also molded in the sideskirts, so I had to get those off somehow. I bought an origin streamline kit, and began getting it ready for paint. I bought some sportmaxx 962s, 18x9.5/8.5 +35, and threw those on because I am poor. Anyways, I got it painted at a one day too, and heres how it came out.

It looked clean for a few weeks, and then the problems started. The motor had been supposedly rebuilt by the previous owner, so I did a compression check and it was 180 across the board, so I decided I needed a little fun in my life, so I turboed it. I did my research, and decided to go with the basic t25/sr bolt on kit with a megan manifold. I installed it over the weekend, and only had an issue with a bad injector, after sending it to Sideways Performance (dont go here), they got it running perfectly.
After a few months, I was on my way to a meet at UCR with my car club at school, and long story short, my timing chain guide somehow took a shit and the motor sucked up some metal and took a shit. Wonderful. I found a rebuilt motorset on zilvia for a fair price and after parting out the other motor, i got this one. I had no money by this time so I had to start borrowing from my parents. I went to get the motor and it turned out to be the owner of 9k racing, and all the guys seemed pretty cool so I knew I was in good hands. Andrew Molina was the one that rebuilt the motor and I recommend him to anyone who needs a rebuilt or anything engine related.

I got the motor put in, and was on my way ricing it up. I dont feel like explaining how this happened, but I hit something on the road and it fucked up my oil pan of my newly rebuilt motor and boom, engine runs dry and needs to be torn apart again to check if anything was bad. It just needed the bearings replaced and everything else was okay because I shut the car off. This time I decided to keep it a little more safe for boost and got it rebuilt with ARP head studs and Felpro Headgasket. I also decided to go with a bigger setup, and got the gti-r t28 turbo and 550cc injectors.
Finally back on the road, I get one week into driving and this happens.

Fucking truck drivers, this asshole hits me and doesnt even have insurance. Wonderful so my car was totalled, and my insurance only wanted to give me 1200 for my car hahaha, no. I ended up getting a $2800 check. Now I got all new suspension arms, and decided to go widebody.

And the teardown starts

Cutting for overfenders

Fitting

Molding it in

I got new wheels too

19x10.5 +12 square setup (going big)

I fucked up the overfenders twice and had to tear them off and remold them, which sucked. But got it primered up and wheels fit on and it was ready for paint. Oh I also got rid of the origin front and got a legit vertex lang bumper.

After like two months of having no paint, I couldnt take it anymore and finally got it painted. Thank you maaco for the decent job (few runs but fuck it it's one color at least)

After I had 5 tires debead on one rim, I took back the rim to varrstoen and they gave me 11" wides because they didnt make the 10.5s anymore. So now I am running a stagger, 19x10.5 +4 235/35/19 up front, 19x11 +7 245/35/19 out back. However, the tire shop ripped my new 245 so I wont have them back on until tuesday :\
This basically turned into a build thread, so I might just add more and make it one when I get a chance. Thanks for looking
