  • StanceWorks fan from Norway!

    Hello!
Just had to join this forum now, have been a fan on facebook for a while so here i am
My name is Torbjørn (Toa), I'm 28 and i love old school cars. I have a old Opel Ascona 2,4 and i guess not everyone here has seen one before but i hope you guys like it
bought the car back i 2006 and fitted it with a Turbo and used it as a daily driver for almost 2 years, then i bought a Opel Omega and decided to put it away for Restoration because the winters in Norway are hard for a old opel. (they use a lot of salt on the road)
But after i bought the Omega that was a former company car for a friends Tuning store i started spending money on that to because i used it as a daily driver and a show car, so during the 3.5 years i had the omega i resprayed the car, the rims and fitted leather sport interior etc. So progress with my Ascona has been slow, but last year i sold it and bought a 2007 subaru legacy to be our family car and i promised my girlfriend that i would not lower it because she wanted a normal car for a change, it's fitted with 17" momo wrs and i mounted Headrest dvd players for my kid and thats it for now:P
So last year i could start on my ascona again..
started buying in wheels and stuff, rolled the fenders a bit and resprayed in black... have started refitting and my plan is to have it ready for the summer
I don't have so many pictures right now, but this i how it looks now:

wheels had to be tested when i got it back from the painters! 9x16" lenso bsx, i hope to get my hands on some real BBS RS later on but they are expensive and hard to get in Norway so they will do for now...
This is how i was before with Brock B1 9x16"

Some changes will be made but mostly it will look like that again, just lower at the back and smaller mirrors

Thank you, not exactly a beast yet but with about 180ps, short gearing and just under one ton of car it does the job just fine for now

More will follow, but just now I'm at work on a boat 200+ miles away from home so i just have some old photos to share for now

this is how low i want it, but last time the wheels couldn't turn more than this so i hope i have solved it now when i rolled the fenders before painting:P
My Ascona and my Friend's old Manta back in the Day's:

and a picture of my Omega that i still regret i sold:

                              haha!
would like to have the real deal but these are fine for now
been a busy summer and i had my setback's this season, broke the rear axle on my first test drive and the gearbox on my second test run, and when i almost got i ready for the road i had a engine fire due to oil leak:S
i have repaired most of the damage and switched out the hoses and electrical that got damaged. The hood is in for new paint and hopefully i will get it 99% ready for the summer again
could have got it ready late this summer but i have sold my old house, bought a new house, got a new kid and been away offshore so it's been busy all over
But at least my new house got a good garage for my ascona so i will bring an update here as soon as i get the garage in order
