So heres the story...
I previously owned a '97 318ti and at the time I just wasnt feeling it, but I knew that I just had to have an E30! I set out on a search for a 325i or 325is...well I didnt have much luck...at all! I was getting very discouraged because all the ones that I had found were either in really good condition but sold or beaten to hell and rusted out! On my finale attempt and thinking I had found a keeper...I set out! And guess what...I got nothing! Yeah, for the 5th time I was let down! Feeling pretty bummed I went to my friends house to ask for a little help in finding a good E30...cause thats what he primarily deals with. Well, while sitting there and chatting about my car and what I was looking for he stops me and says "If you dont mind sticking with a 4cyl...I'll trade you!" I was shocked but decided to look over the car cause I had always admired it! I decided it was a good idea! But we slept on it just in case we were both sure! Next day...we were ready to make a trade! And here's what I ended up with...1991 318i that I named Kirby!

The story doesnt end there though...
I had the car for 3 days and took it down to Cars and Cafe with my team(Kindred Impulse)! It got lots of looks and even more compliments! I was so proud of my car! Well the show ended and we headed out...I had gotten a call from back home and needed to ride out earlier than the crew! So I hit the road! Being an ergent call I was doin about 85 to 90 the whole way! It was about 930 or 10 at night...obviously dark! And just as I was about 45 minutes out of Jacksonville...a racoon decided to take its own life! And right on my front valance, ripping off my lip and taking out my fog light filler and brake duct! I damn near cried!
Over the course of time I saved up some money and bought a replica valance(seeming as bmw doesnt make them and i couldnt find a donor car) of bavarian auto! I didnt have the money for the lip and other such things at the time so I road as is.
Fast forward about 3 weeks and I'm heading to an orientation for a new job! On my way there I caught a bit of traffic in a construction zone! I was stopped in the middle of the road by some idiot who didnt know how to get all the way in his turning lane...and being very causious of my car I looked in the rear view and what do I see...some stupid little girl on her phone seeing me just in time to only watch her nose dive and slam into me at about 40mph! I was livid! She smashed the rear valance and bent and broke my whole exhaust.
Fast forward another month and I get my settlement check and buy the finishing parts for the front end(lip, lights, and brake ducts) and I fix the exhaust...seeming as the rear valance doesn't detach...I bent it out by hand with a big ass hammer, a 2x4, pry bars and channel locks to the best of my ability!

Time had gone on and it was begining to be show season and what came up first...Import Alliance! I knew I had to get Kirby sitting right for this meet! With the rest of the settlement money and a little to save up I got wheels for him. I didn't have a lot so I decided to go with a set of 16x8 et10 Rota Grid Off-Road! Yes I know everyone hates Rota but its stage one so bare with me! I was outta money and just decided to cut the coils to get more low for the time being! I got Kirby sitting very good in my eyes and was SUPER happy with how he looked! I ran into a problem with the wheels not fitting correctly so I had to get spacers for the front but I decided to do all around! So a set of 12mm spacers was thrown on to get an nice aggresive -2 offset!
To make a long story short Kirby is now on a set of JOM coilovers(which I'm not happy with how "low" they go due to them being all the way down) and has a skip plate to protect the oil pan. And yeah, I got bored with the old "small" exhaust and it was time to "go big or go home"...and thats just what I did!
Kirby's look isn't for everyone but I love him to death and have major plans for his future!

Thanks for reading and I look forward to all the feedback! And yes I'm saving for legit wheels first so take it easy on me about the Rotas please lol
