  • Always owned a VW

Well everyone, I guess it is time to stop creapin' and start posting. I've always owned VW's so onto the pictures...

My first car as I bought it:

    The day I sold it.

My mk2 GTI, I had this while I had the golf, it was a project I never got running. I got fed up with not having enough money to put into it, still being in High School and working part time. All I needed was fuel injectors to get it running with the CIS injection. I really regret selling it, the shell was perfect, rust free.

My mk3 Jetta Wolfsburg, day I got it.

This car is when I really got into the scene
    - VMaxx Coilovers (What can I say, High School budget and first set of coils)
    - 268 TT cam
    - Eurospec Adjustable cam gear
    - TT Chip for cam
    - Drilled/Slotted F & R Rotors
    - 2.5" custom cat-back
    - AEM Cone filter, home-made heat shield

I shaved the front euro bumper the car came with but ended up selling it because I needed the cash, and couldn't afford to paint it.

Then I sold that one and bought a mk3 GTI VR6 my first year of college.

The night I brought her home...

I also did a fair share to this one...
    - Sachs sport clutch and light weight flywheel
    - TT Chip
    - Autotech Wires
    - Autotech Adjustable Rear Sway
    - Another set of VMaxx
    - Drilled and Slotted rotors front and rear
    - Wheel Spacers
    - 17x7.5" BBS VZs
    - VW Sport Plaid Seats
    - 2.5" Custom Cat Back
    - TT high flow cat (obnoxious as hell)
    - NGK plugs
    - shaved front bumper
    - FK tails

I thoroughly, thoroughly loved my GTI, I miss this car so much. Unfortunately it had severe rust issues, I'm talking giant holes in the floor. I will have another some day.

Well....... that brings me to my most recent purchase. A 2008 Jetta S, no bells, no whistles, how freakin' boring. My thought was "Oh, this will be a great daily." Well, the lack of power and handling has led me to decide I'm just gonna stance the hell out of it and drive it for what it is.

The day I picked her up.

Since then I have purchased a few exterior modifications as well as AIR RIDE!!! So you'll have to look out in the build thread section for the rest of this build.

Yeah, the only generations I have not owned are mk1 and mk4... I guess their slogan is true. Once you get in a VW, it gets into you. hahaha

          Thanks guys.

I take it its a 2.0 since your name is slowmk3? They can still be fun. The cam, chip, intake, exhaust on my 2.0 jetta gave it a little more pep.

Yeah, the mk5 is what it is, a daily. It has ok power, its the 08' so its got 170hp 175tq. I figure maybe I'll chip it and intake and call it a day for power but I want to make it look classy on the outside.

Yeah, honestly for the money and time, the power wasn't enough of a return on investment. But it sure was fun and light in corners.
