the 16s would be much better suited for your ride, do you have any pics?

First step is coilovers to get it low, then you can play around with wheel/tyre combos to see how much clearance you have and what you can get away with. 16's sound about right for a Yaris.

Thanks alot friends!! Car doesnt look as hot as i hoped but my younger bro is happy, will upload some pics in a bit, In a few days ill be getting a 2007 golf 5 GTI, ive worked hard to get the car and wont have much to spend on it, so the plan is to keep everything simple but have that low wicked stance i couldnt get on the yaris but keep the oem 18" wheels. What do u people think is the way forward, my friends dont really wanna help saying its gonna be too heavy to maintain the car and should have gone for something more affordable so this is my best bet for good advice....

                  yep

                  mileage of tyres drops

and this can be achieved with camber plates

Some companies offer camber bolts as well. Most coilovers with have plenty of camber adjustment capabilities. If the front has conservative camber, up to 3 degrees, tires shouldn't wear too much more quickly, but still a tad. As long as you rotate every 3k, you can run a lot more camber in the rear with only slightly more wear than normal. If it was RWD with an LSD or locked diff you could plan on getting a solid 2 or 3k with spirited driving. This is based on my personal experience. I'm sure others have different experiences.
