Because they are really low, the pictures I've seen show only a few millimetres away from wheel wells. I would lower my car as well If it wasn't for dead kangaroos in the middle of the road, police hatred for anything P platers do, and that I wouldn't be able to get into any petrol stations (I have a solution for this problem, it involves jerry cans) or car parks without scraping my car.
