Hello there Everybody. My name is Randall. Im from Chambersburg Pa. Its a little hicktown that you've probably never heard of and I guess I wont holdit against you.
So.....where to begin. Well, I guess I'll start with myself then move to the hooptie later.
Name: Randall Hosier
Age: 19
Occupation: I work at Sears. In the Auto Department. Im an inspection mechanic. (Yeah i know, Sears, sucks but pays the bills) And I'm a student. I go to Harrisburg Area Community College for Automotive Technologies.
Background: I've been into cars since I was a little kid. (Kinda wasn't really a choice, all the males in my family are petrol-heads. Grandfather used to dragrace till he put his roadrunner into the wall and dad used to race his '76 celica that he rebuild 3 times til he sold it and bought the jetta he has today.) Do you guys remember when you were kids and your familys would be driving somewhere and you'd play I-spy or the license plate game? Yeah, my family, we played "name that car" for hours on end. I used to build model cars and collect matchbox's. Then I stepped up to building go-carts with my neigbors in their garage. (I use the term go-cart VERY losely. They were really just lawn mower parts strapped to wood/metal/whateverwecouldgetourhandson frames) My family moved due to my mom being a pastor, so the fun had to stop. I really didnt get back into cars until my senior year when i had to decide what to do with myself. I decided on being a mechanic.
So I started going to HACC and here we are.
Now for the car. This car is my first venture into the world of euros and stance and things of the sort. SO..... its a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition. Black. 2.slow. Autotragic. (yeah i know for my first VW I now understand that I picked one of the worst) So I did some things to it. Its lowered on Rokkor coilovers (sitting on the axles upfront. frame notch to come I hope), sitting on Borbet Type E's that are 16x7 et38. The fronts have 12mm spacers and the rears have 17.5mm spacers. So final et of 26 up front and 20.5 out back. not half bad if I say so myself. And with that being said, yes the fenders have been rolled and yes the car rubs a good bit. Other exterior mods being the frenched fogs, the smoked turns, dummies, sidemarkes and tails. It does have a VR lip on the front, yeah I know that its cheating.
and for the performance side i did a mk4 intake swap. Aaaand.... thats all folks. (for now that is)
On to the pics............
