  • Hey from New Zealand

Hey StanceWorks I stumbled across this site the other day, looks pretty cool.

I'm from New Zealand, owned this 71' Mercedes 280s for the last 6 years and slowly rejuvenating it.

Kitted out with airsuspension and all the goodies.

how do you find those wire wheels? I would feel very strange rolling them in california with all the lowriders over here... haha

what work have you had to do on the car?
                  what suspension are you running?
anything left to fix up on it?

                        Here's a recent image.

D&W, yeah it was actually your car which directed me to this site. Very nice car you have, impressed with your attention to detail.

The 18in wire wheels work a treat, slipped on perfectly and no rubbing what so ever. (Just make sure they are Front wheel offset). Although you do notice the weight a bit.

Fair enough with all the lowrider's in CA, you might get some funny looks. I just wanted to have a bit of fun with mine make something different.

It's got dual Viar 480c compressors, 2-ply contitech bags, 1/2in parker valves, 5-gallon chrome tank all professionally installed nicely into the boot. It sits 30mm off the ground at it's lowest height with bump-stops. I'll get some more pics of the setup soon.

I've just re-carpeted it with original carpet and trimmings. Seats etc are immaculate. Engine is pretty tidy. All i need to do now is repair a couple small rust bubbles that have appeared under the chrome trimming. Other than that it's all good!

hell yea looks unreal. are they atlas whitewall inserts or legit whitewalls? I've been thinking about wide whites in the future

would love to see a shot of yours aired all the way up. did you have to tuck your exhaust up?

my exhaust is sitting on the ground and is the lowest point of the car.

Where did you measure the 30mm from?

Yeah just Atlast whitewalls for now, they do a great job and the price of actual wide white walls over here are crazy.

My exhaust pipes are inset slighty within the undercarriage, I'm guessing thats usual? (the floor seems to be the lowest part of my car)

I measured it from the ground to the bottom of the door sill (where the jack goes).
Also removed the bumpstops on one occasion and the whole chassis sits on the ground, so i had to put them back in.

Yeah sure i'll put a somemore pics of it aired up this weekend.

                              Glad you guys like it!
