Hi guys. E30 touring

Hi guys, I'm Mike and I live in Wiltshire in the United Kingdom.
I have a 1991 BMW 325i touring which has a broken engine. I've been gathering
parts to convert the car to M30 E34 535 engine and 5 speed box. It's auto at the
moment. While I'm doing this I'm converting it to run on LPG (propane) and fitting
airbag FBSS suspension.
I'm 49 years old and have been modding cars and motorcycles since I was a teenager,
so no problems with the size of the tasks involved.
I've joined this forum mainly for tips and advice on the airbag setup as they are fairly rare
in the uk. As and when I can offer advice in return, I certainly will.
I have pretty much gathered everything I need for the mods mentioned and the first job is
to fit the engine and tranny, which I hope to have done by Christmas and get her back on
the road. I will then be installing the air suspension over the course of 2 or 3 weekends in the new year.

Hey guys I'm at work and posting from my iPhone. Not quite sure how to post pics on here - feel free to let me know. I believe E30 tourings are rare in some parts of the world - plenty of em in the uk and cheap as anything.
I built myself a lotus 7 type 2 seater from scratch. Built the space frame chassis, all the suspension wishbones and 5 linked rear axle - running a Kawasaki ZX11R engine and 6 speed box, and a Quaife reversing gearbox. Tell me how and I will post some pics of that one. Still own it and it's a blast to drive.

Just had the E30 into my garage for the weekend. 325 engine and auto box out - 535 engine and 5 speed box IN. YEEHA. Still need to do all plumbing electrics propshaft an zorst.
But I'm pleased with my weekends work.
I have a complete brand new air bag plug and play kit sat in my garage to be fitted to the E30 once the engine transplant is finished. I will start a new thread for that project.
