  • Domestic in S/W??

This is my car I just bought in August. I sold my baby (MazdaSpeed3) due to exceptionally high insurance rates and was left with a decision to make. What could I get that would be:
    a.) reliable
    -and-
    b.) decent looking
    -and-
    c.) cheap

Started looking around then ran out of time and had to pick something. Paid cash for this sucker. It's slow as all get out, but i has black leather, audiophile sound, every option except sunroof and heated seats, and it gets ~25 MPG in the city.

I can't afford the coilovers right now (and with a NE winter coming on fast...) so I plan on waiting out the winter and saving up $$ and starting fresh in the spring with coils. I've never owned a lowered car before so it'll be a learning experience...

Hmmmm.....I have always wondered what one of these (or a Ford 500/newer styler Taurus) would look like dropped on some dished wheels. I see potential for sure.

This is what they look like lowered and with a lip kit:

This is a 'shop of what I am toying with:

Drop + OEM RX8 5 spokes. I'm a sucker for 5 spoke wheels...the Volvo Pegasus R is my favorite OEM wheel.

what do you think would look good? I'm open. None of this is happening until at least spring so I've got time to think about it...

                    Those're nice...
Heey I like that lip kit...from the front. Rear not so much. That's a loooong way down the road though if I decide to do it...

The Fusion's are crazy reliable. Exactly one common problem (something with the thermostat) but that's already been taken care of on mine by the P/O. Other than that there's nothing real common that goes wrong with them that I could find. I joined a bunch of different forums asking around before I wrote that check to verify. I'm looking forward to many years of faithful service...I've had enough repair bills from my first car (2000 Volvo S40.)

This could be very interesting.... Kudos for choosing a car that's rarely stanced.

I work at a ford dealer so I'm just busting your balls. Not many fusions come in that have problems. Expeditions and anything else that is RWD and automatic is a different story.

The engineers in charge of transmissions for Ford should be burned at the stake.

Legit shoot will come very soon. Coils literally went on one week ago. Took me and my dad about 8 hours to do, but in my defense we did it wrong the first time so we basically did it all twice AND neither one of us had done and suspension at all.

                            Hope you like. If not...

Looks beeter but wind them coils down in the front. Going low is addiction.

BTW nice MS3 I have been working on those alot recently and **** those damn things
