  • Here's some "V"

I'm on like 8 forums, but what's one more? Just thought I would say hello.

Here is what's sitting in the garage right now. Both are anything but close to the word proper right now, but I have plans for the two of um'. Just picked up the Rabbit last month, and the 740 is a new addition as of Sunday. So I'm starting fresh.

Here's the day I brought it home.

The vision... The Jeep is gone now.

And here is my old love. Too bad she's gone, last I heard it started on fire.... Too bad I never got any pictures with the 10mm's in the rear. Looked real nice

The question is, which one to start on? The Mk1 is gutted just waiting on an engine to tear apart. Paint in the spring.

Haha I guess I put that wrong, "The Vision" meant what I want it to look like. The Jeep just got pulled into the photoshop. I went the other way on that one. The axle was just way too close to the oil pan to do the low thing for that truck.
Trust me, I really wanted to.

I see you live up to your sig!

                          Thanks for the welcome everyone.

The bunny is my main priority to get it done by this spring. Unsure of the wheel choice yet, I have some old Beetle hubcaps that I would like to incorporate though. Engine choice is going to be a full Mk3 ABA swap, most likely supercharged, and the top end will be gone through. Nothing race quality, just a fun summer daily.

The Volvo is my dd as of now. It's an auto, so mostly just going to clean it up and cruise it. If I can find the stock turbo set up, I would go for it, but I am not going out of my way. Couldn't stand seeing the height on the thing though, so I cut out a few coils a few hours ago to close up the wheel gap. Made some nifty little clamps to hold the springs in the perch so I don't have to babysit them when I put it on the hoist. I'll have to get some spacers to complete it, but for now, it's a ton better.

I am waiting on my friend to throw some pictures up so you can check it out.

Here is what I was up to tonight. I guess one of these days I will start a build thread.

                            Lookin' a little cloudy ey?

Before and after. Did a little wet sanding and polish. I grabbed one of those headlight restore kits but all it was good for was the little fine pads. I think next time I will just stick to sandpaper, polishing compound, and a wax.
