    Looking to build something...in StL, MO

    Hey there.

    So. not sure where to start.

    Guessing that my current rides don't fit into the 'stanced' category...

    All are lowered...but none are completely slammed.

    2010 Ford Fusion 3.0 v-6. Dropped w/Eibachs, spaced 20's, Progress Technology (rear) sway bar, exhaust, etc.. (pics below)

    2004 Acura TSX (Wifey's car). VTEC, Dropped w/Teins, Ingall's kit. Not much else...as she trashes her shit.

    1999 Harley-Davidson Road King (5-page feature in Hot Bike magazine Dec, 2k7). 2" drop on Progressive shocks...way too much to list...and this doesn't really seem like the forum for that anyway.

    That said...I have about a year & a half before my daughter turns 16 and is able to drive. I wanna do something a little different than what her little friends are going to be driving. I don't want to go nuts...but want it to be low. Maybe air (can't go static on a first car). Also, considering it will be a first car, I don't want to go dropping crazy money. Thinking like $2000 for the car...then maybe another $2K for mods.

            Thanks for the welcomes...

            I have been looking at some of the VW's and think they would be a really cool platform to start with. As it will be her first car, I'm trying to keep it simple. Automatic, power windows, good AC, etc...Plus have something that will be reliable. I would dig gettign her a MIata...but for whatever reason she does not like convertibles. She has said that she kinda likes the idea of a truck. So I have kinda been looking around for a late 90's Toyota (x-cab), but they are not easy to find in decent shape.

            I'm kinda also considering just getting a new ride for the Wifey..and giving our 2004 Acura TSX to the daughter. It needs a bit of work, but with a bodykit...some 19's and a few weekends - I could put it right for her.

            Also...thanks for the props on the Ford. I kinda dig it. I travel a lot for work...so I can't go all nutty with it at the moment, but I have been checking out some air-ride options. It would look sick layed-out on bags.
