  • New guy from Middle Tennessee

What's good? My name is Chance.

My daily is an '87 BMW 325iS with a few things done here and there, but right now I spend most of my time maintaining its equilibrium of broken shit. At the moment it's sitting on cut lowering springs and 17x7+40s. I'd like to step down to something like 16x8+0s soon, but unless I find a good deal that I can afford then I may have to wait for Santa Claus to show up.

I also own an '88 Mazda RX-7 convertible. It has had 4 jack stands as wheels for the past year and a half or so. As of right now, I lack a rebuild kit and a set of tires from having it back on the road again. It has solid bushings and mounts all around, STANCE GR+Pro coilovers, MMR camber links, AWR lateral links, blah blah blah, and I'll be changing the wheels up from 18x8+40s (pictured below) to 17x8.5+0s once I get some tires.

I don't think I have seen either of you while out driving around, but now that I've seen your cars on here I'll know what to keep an eye out for.

Haha! Yeah, those wheels have been long gone.
These are what will be under the car for a bit; they're not the best choice ever but they get the job done for now...

Plus the 18s didn't leave much room for travel at the height I had the car while the coilovers had plenty of space left to go lower...

Tubbing the front is an option that I'm capable of doing, but I figure that I've got enough on my plate right now to get it back on the road. Who knows though...it could always become a weekend side-project. They'll fit under the fenders just fine with a little pulling here and a little camber there.

A friend of mine carries their wheel line through his business and he owed me close to the cost of the wheels for some work I did on his truck; so I was only out of pocket for the shipping. Like I had said earlier, they're not exactly what I'd prefer to have on the car, but for the time being they'll get the job done.
