Hello from Norway - Opel Manta A Rally

hello, my name is Stian, educated as a car painter. i live in norway, so don't count on flawless spelling :p

i im a proud owner of a 1971 manta a 1900 rally. imported from sweeden in 2007. the car was fully restored for about 4 years ago, but some minor things need a little work.

when i bought it, it had a broken differensial, so i had that replaced with a LSD, i lasted for about 10 minutes, because a major crack in one of the lamel plates. so i found a regular open diff, and now it works more or less ok

i actually bought the rims for the car, a month before i bought the car, witch was in posession of a good friend of mine, and i "forced" him to sell it to me :p these are compomotive cxn's 8x16 / 8.5x16 with magnesium senter

when the engine broke down, i had a plan of m50b20 with 6speed. but there are quite a few laws in norway about this and that, so i rebuilt the 2.0 with a 2.2 crank. double 2step weber IDF. so the engine plans are nothing in near future.

but, the body/mouldings, windows, and suspension will get a major overhaul this winter. there are some minor rust a few places, and it will also be a new paint with a different color. im thinking about a mint green with the same decal as is. Or a GULF theme, with lightblue and orange, with orange senter on the comps....

i bought a wreck from a chopshop, i had to replace the whole right side, the roof, the front, and rear. it turned out pretty good,

This. The wheel cap mesh is off though. :P

hehe, i know. they are drilled to fit to pcd's. so when the presesnt owner did that, he had to make a new hole to the mesh cap :P so they are a little off on 2 wheels :P but that aint the first on the list :p
