Sweet car, you said those are Kenesis? Look similar to Mitos. I'm also a huge fan of Avus, glad you're redoing it, gonna look sooooo good. Also, +1 for Thatcher, good dude. haha can't wait to see it finished.

Actually, the lips are Kenesis... No idea what the centers are. Stamping is similar to Kenesis, but cannot verify with anyone. Anyhow, yeah they're pretty close to Mito's, just concave instead of convex. I like these much better.

Thatcher is a helluva guy, hooked me up when I needed it. If I had gotten ahold of him only 1 week sooner, I could have saved myself an extra $120 I spent polishing my old lips.

Looks promising. Avus blue on white wheels is going to look so good!

Lol no thanks. I have the only set of ultimos for an e36, as mine was the test car. I would do a straight trade with tires, but couldnt do any less. I just bagged my car though so I dont need them.

LMK if interested and I can send pics and info.

I'll keep it in mind. I don't NEED them, but if it were a decent deal then cool... But IMO, no Raceland product is worth $750-900. Especially a prototype that'll be available in 6 months for $400.

who's Thatcher and how do I get a hold of him? because I need lips, and the lip style on yours is the same as on mine

I think you should have waited on the body work though; get the suspension/wheel work done - see where you are at and what you have to do to not destroy your fenders or w/e - then you'd get a better feel for where to go with the body work

                        looks great though!

Yessir. There were no MAJOR body issues. A few rust spots coming through that I sanded back to bare metal, a couple door dings. The biggest amount of work so far has been pulling and stretching the rear fenders. No matter how nicely and smooth you roll them, there was a wave to it. A few passes with some thin-coat body filler got that evened out. I'd like to spend a bit more time on them though - I want the paint job to turn out PERFECT.

I've got all the materials sitting in the house to paint, I'm trying to be patient though. A few more passes with the thin-coat, a bit more sanding, and then I'll take it to the booth. I ended up going to the Matrix paint system, and will use the Euro-clear. I should have enough for 3 coats of paint, and 3-4 coats of clear. Should be BEAUTIFUL.

I've never sprayed a car before, OR done body-work. So this is a first for me. I'm pretty nervous about doing it, and I've got a good friend out here (Beanzermin) that will probly be bribed into helping me spray it.
