Hey what's up,
My name is Mike and I've been lurking around a little and thought I'd register and say hi.
Just picked up a bone-stock 2001 Miata and now I'm gathering inspiration for future mods.
Fun little car that is serving as my daily so I've got to keep it streetable. I've got a bad habit of modifying cars right off the road.
I've been autoXing for ~16 years with my Datsun 240Z so I'll want to keep the little Mazda able to go dodge cones occasionally too.
Plans include a roll bar for a little extra protection and a lot of extra chassis stiffness.
Coilovers and front tubular sway bar to tighten up the handling and set the car into a better stance (looks goofy at stock ride height).
Wheels and tires, looking at 15x9 6ULs with 225/45/15 RS3s. If I can ever find (and afford) a set I'd love to put some BBS RS's on there.
Eventually a supercharger will find it's way onto the engine as well. ~220whp seems about right.
When I'm not screwing with cars I'm out riding. Street bike is an 09' Triuph Street Triple R, track bike is an 05' Kawasaki 636.
Here's a shot of the little car from the local autoX this weekend.
