  • New Member from West Hartford, CT - 2004 Acura TL

Whats up S/W....my name is Justin and I hail from West Hartford (Not Fancy), CT. You may or may not know me from forums such as Acurazine, 6thGenAccord.com and The Car Lounge/OT sections of Vortex.

I am a car fanatic and can find at least a little something good in almost any car/modding style. Even though I own an Acura/Honda I am a huge fan of everything Mercedes (mainly the older boxy ones) and BMW (pre-Chris Bangle).

    This is my car......

    2004 Acura TL 5AT Non-Nav
    Deep Green Pearl on Camel

    Exterior
    DIY Blackhoused Headlights
    DIY Painted Grill
Color Matched Grill and License Plate Trim
    Color Matched Projector Bezels
    ASPEC Lip Kit
    04-06 Accord Fogs
    TL-S Style Sidemarkers
Carbon Fiber CSL M3 Style Spoiler

    Wheels, Tires & Suspension:

H&R Race Springs on Koni SP3 Struts - About 3" Drop
    Custom Bored 18x8.5 +45 5x112 Miro 111 CSL M3 Replicas
    15mm Spacers Front and Rear

Performance (or what I did to make it sound a little better, lol)

Stock resonator removed and replaced with a Dynomax Resonator and the mid muffler was removed completely.
    K&N Drop In Filter

Before I put the 15mm spacers on the front......

At The Tail of the Dragon last week, and after I trimmed the fender lips and installed the front spacers..........

I know the above pic makes my shit look broken, but I hit US129 on my way back from FL and I had about 200lbs worth of luggage and other crap in the trunk so the weight transfer was way worse than normal, lol.

My future plans consist of upgrading the motor mounts, a Progress RSB, and adjustable rear lower arms and then add three quarters to one degree of positive camber to the rear so the top of the wheels sit a bit more flush with the rear fenders. Right now it's sitting natural at -1.8*F/-3.6*R.

My main goal with the car is to find a nice middle ground between looks and suspension performance.

    Anyway......nice to be here!

Nice. Looks good so far. Planning on going for wider wheels?

In hindsight I wish I would have gotten the same wheels in 18x9.5 all around because I definitely have the space for them, but for now I'm pretty happy with the way the car looks and I may unload it next spring for something new and German so I won't be making any big changes until the time comes to make that decision.

Something about your car makes it look photoshopped in almost all of these pictures. But I love it.

I love TL's! That color is awesome. Drop the front just a tad. rear looks pretty spot on.

Looks good, love the a-spec lip kit and a unique color! but the wheels are just too sunk for a car like this, you should space them out even more so they are flush with your fenders. Dont add the positive camber too, keep it negative. looks nice none the less
