  • A stanced pickup in Houston?

Hey guys. New here, out in Houston, TX. I have a 95' F150 single cab V8 that I'm currently stancing. I know it's not the typical vehicle to stance but I love the stanced look and like a good challenge. Currently I have a 3/5 drop on it, with 3" drop ibeams, replaced joints/bushings, rear flip kit, 15x9.5" wheels and 255 tires. About to finish it up with another 3" of drop spring in the front, and hangers in the rear for a total of 6/8 with new tires. Stretching 235/60/15's on the 15x9.5's and I've rolled the front fenders for clearance. Will have camber in the front, though cant do much with a solid axle in the rear. Skirting a fine line trying not to look like a cholo truck, while still stancing it.

This is how it was sitting before I started the coils and hangers (currently is on jacks being worked on):

Hoping to make it out to a Houston meet (if those exist) and hang out with some people, maybe get some ideas. I've been in the scene for a while, just new to this site.

Thanks! I'm trying to decide if I should put a roof rack on it as well. I like that look, but on a truck? I dunno.

Static, the lowest you can go in this truck is 5" in the front, 6.5" with smaller sidewalls. Rear can go as low as you want with notches and blocks but that would look stupid lower. I'm converting the rear to a four-link and coil-overs. No bags :P

Also, the radius arm brackets hang 3" from the bottom of the frame, so I'm going low enough for those to sit 1" from the ground.

Well aware, but ya work with what you have

I haven't single a single stanced or flush full-size truck anywhere on here that wasn't bagged so I'm really looking forward to finishing it.

Unfortunately, on static, the only products sold in the US for a 92-96 F150 front drop are 3" drop ibeams from DJM or Belltech and 2" drop springs making a total of 5" possible front drop, unless you cut springs which I wouldnt recommend on a 5500lb+ truck. As far as the rear goes, the sky is the limit with a flip kit, hangers, shackles and blocks on the U-bolts, but I aim to be level.

I'm switching tires and losing some sidewall which is going to total my static drop at 6.5/8.5, putting the radius arm brackets 1" off the ground, and the front splitter nearly touching the ground.

If you want lower, it's bags or nothing, which I may end up doing to get lower sometime down the line. Or if you want to spend a shit-ton of money/time you can body-drop the truck down over the frame to achieve that super-low look.

I'm a mechanic and work on these 'erday, so trust me Hope to see pics of yours when you're done!

theres a difference between a wagon and a truck. Cars arent meant to haul tall shit. Trucks are.

Haha I know, just kinda dig the look. I've seen a bunch of Nissan hardbodys and Toyota trucks do it. I don't know if I can pull it off with a full-size though. Probably won't do it.

Build a bike rack in the bed.

                            I like em dropped.
