I've been a long time lurker and would throw my humble opinion in from time to time, and finally I got some pics of the car at Blowneuros yesterday, so decided to use them in a useful way.
This was my first car, 1989 190e 2.6 5-speed, bought it for $800.00 with a blown clutch, had it replaced, and it's been pretty loyal to me since. I always wanted to lower it, but I could never justify giving up ride and comfort for a lowered ride height. Also, the fact that coilovers weren't made for this platform didn't help either. I did a little bit of research and decided to experiment a little bit. I bought a discontinued set of H&R Cup-kit springs for a 2.3-16 and a set of Bilstein Sport shocks and struts. The result was great, the car came down significantly and rode great.
Rode around on stock 15-holes for quite a while, then the car got parked and I cycled through a few daily drivers (W140 S420, 2005 Legacy GT, 2011 CC, a few more 190's).
After I picked up the CC I really wanted this thing back on the road and finally decided to slap on the salad shooters I bought over a year ago. Ordered the adapters, got the wheels painted, bought some tires, and rolled/pulled the fenders.
This is how the car currently sits. I am switching the front spring pads for smaller ones this weekend, so the front will come down a little bit more.
Edit: Wheels are 16x8.5 all around (was told they are 16x9.5) but for $50 I couldn't really complain.
Tires are Yokohama S-drive 195/40/16 all around.

I know the hood isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the clearcoat was peeling horribly, it had quite a few dents, and I have 2 extra hoods in perfect condition. Plus, I was a huge fan of Rusty and followed all of his transformations.
