  • Just another newb thinkin' he's special...

Well I thought I already had a profile on here, but I can't seem to find it. As little as I post on here (I think i made maybe 5 posts?) figured I'd start a-new and reintroduce.

Mainly haven't gotten on much cause I'm stuck in Iraq for a while now, still have a while to go. I get to lurk enough, but I get so worked up on what to do next to the ride, I have to walk away before I go insane, lol.

Speaking of ride, currently sitting back home waiting for me is an '09 MINI Clubman JCW I've already put a few bucks into. I said I wasn't going to cause I was deploying soon, but the mod force is strong with this one. Few motor mods pushing it to 223whp and I think it was 242wtrq. Coil-overs for a drop that I ended up going so low, I found out the hard-way that an A/C line runs right above the half-shaft, and wore a hole in it. Had no a/c for a while there, lol.

I'ma RWD kinda go, so it's everything in me to not trade-up for something more fun, but I like the rarity of a JCW Clubbie, and think I could really make some ripples&waves with some more interesting mods. Though with Rusty Slammington lying in ruins (God rest his soul), it's everything in me not to send my wife on a 2 hour road trip to fetch a black '88 535is I know for sale for ridiculously cheap. It even runs. Call it a tribute car to Rusty...

Speaking of wife, she has a MINI convertible as well with a few goodies, that's actually how we met, at the MINI dealership. She's a car geek as much as myself.

I have some history with custom cars, shows, had a mini truck years ago that was in a few mags. Started a few cars clubs, President of a few others, the works. I'd like to think I know a thing or two about custom cars, bikes, trucks, and love corresponding to contribute, and learn whenever possible. The military has put quite the crutch on pursuing it further, so that's why I'm here. Chit chat, discuss idea's, etc.

I've already contacted FMU for some fabrication work when I get back to the states. Then I'd like to take the wife's car and mine down to SoCal and visit the scene, get to know some folks, hit some shows, have a good time. I hope I meet some more people here to help make that happen.

Anyways, enough rambling... I can go on and on about things, cars, idea's, so if you got something to talk about, or want to know more about me (y'know cause I'm cool like that, lol), give me a shout! Thanks all.

Well here's a few goodies. None of them are recent one's, or the latest from when I had them. But here's some past exploits.

'98 Boss Hoss and a '64 Checker in the background.

'03 Ram I had (on the right) that I used when Kansas chapter prez of HEMItruckCLUB. Had more SRT goodies on it than in this pic, but I like this picture. This is one that got away, I miss this truck!

Only picture I could find of my '88 Mazda supercharged B2200. Made a sig from this picture. Will have to look more for this one. This picture was before I bought it.

Buddies taco we body dropped on the right.

            More to come.

My old hooligan machine... '04 ZX-10

'92 Supra Turbo... had a '93 as well, but no pics of it. The regrets in life...

'92 VR-4 sitting next to Supra.

              '92 Sentra SE-R... another regret.

With a JDM SR20DET... loved this car!

              '02 Monte Carlo SS

I didn't have a camera way back when, most of these are from borrowing a camera. I didn't care to own one, spent ALL my money on cars and bikes. Crazy to think about these days, but I learned my lesson. I take plenty pics now.

                    Enough pics? lol

Been planning a lot while I've been gone for what I'm doing next. 18x8.5 wheels with, maybe a matte wrap with a full JCW kit. Seats, nardi wheel (if I can make it look right with the modern interior), a few other things I'm leaving up to FMU to decide if they want to tackle.

Wife's car will get the full drop treatment. Wide stance on coil-overs, finish the kit up, a few carbon fiber bits. She LOVES CF! CF is this girls best friend, lol. More LED's on both cars, some more color here and there. Lots of stuff on the mind for both cars, so we'll see what happens.

I had it less than a year before I deployed, both of us actually. She bought hers, 2 weeks later, I bought mine. That weekend, we met at MINI's 50th anniv. party. Have only begun "low". Hers may stay a daily driver, so not sure how low we'll make hers. Mine won't be my daily anymore, so it'll be on when I get back. That is if I don't find another project to sink money into, lol.
