Thanks! And just to clarify from the first post, that's 205 on the 8.5's and 215 on the 9.5's, or are the rear tires still 225? I am looking to run 205/40 on 17x8 and 205/45 on 17x9. Kind of hard finding a 195/40 17 lol. Once again, I appreciate you posting those up.Last edited by jltibbs; 02-19-2011, 06:52 AM.

I remember meeting you at DoD last year, I was the kid in the Mercedes hanging out the window taking rolling shots on the cruise from Danbury/

Looks really clean. Could you post some close ups of the tire fitment to the wheels? That's close to what I'll be putting (size wise) on my new setup. Thanks in advance.

thanks guys, i finally got my fronts on and everything dialed in, going to get a frame notch and some motor mount spacers eventually. but here is how it sits now.

i also had trouble getting an alignment. went to two shops both couldnt do it. the first one even with the bumper off said the front was too low to clear the sensor. the second didnt even bother trying. i have an appointment with another shop for wednesday that specialize in lowered cars mostly euros. hopefully it goes well

Hi my name is chris, and i have an 04.5 vw jetta 1.8t. It is by no means as nice as some of these cars on here but i enjoy doing this and have fun meeting and discussing things with other car enthusiasts.
Here are some pics of my car from last summer. with my old BBS RX's with bad tire sizing

here is what i am working with this year

i need smaller tires going to get 215/45/17 falken 512s then im going to lower the rear more. For the front i still need to roll my fenders before i can put the wheels on, for now i am going to be using my stock wheels.
specs of sawblades
front:
205/45/17 38mm adapters 17x8.5
Rear:
225/45/17 soon to be 215/45/17 with 38mm adapters 17x9.5
thanks for looking and hopefully by lurking around here i can learn a lot.Tags: None
