  • M3/4/5 looking for some low...

    Clears: check
    LTW: check (not mounted yet)
    Drop: Pending

My '98 M3 is my daily. I love the look of the wheels that are on now- staggered 19"s- but I'm looking for a change and a new look for my car. I joined SW for some guidance for best fitment, ride, etc.

Here's my girl as she sits now:

I purchased some 17x9 MT1-R (box setup) and I'm curious to hear others' experience with fitment in the front. I'm not too worried about the rear clearance since the fenders have already been rolled to accommodate 19"s (you don't see 19"s on an e36 very often). Ideally, I want to run 245/40/17s all around. Thoughts/suggestions regarding new wheel/tire fitment along with new lowering setup?

          I heart most sedans
I was thrilled when BMW decided to start producing the M3 sedans again...it's the car I will look into purchasing when I'm through with school.

Awesome choice. I had an E36 M3 for a minute. I would love a sedan for a daily

                  With good reason.

                  245/40s... ugh.

On 9x17s, if you want to go low, you will ideally run either a 205/40 or a 215/40... maybe 215/35. Anything else is too fat.

Ha, that's awesome and has been saved.

First, thank you for being the first person to acknowledge the questions I had! Second, I'm not looking to run super low, just maybe two inches lower than the stock setup it's on now. I prefer meaty tires but will sacrifice some rubber for proper fit. I don't want to stretch too much...

Not feeling the wheels. Just too big IMO. But great looking car none the less.

If it doesn't fit, just stretch it.
