  • New to SW with some MB & VW Lovin'

title kinda says it all... current fleet

'73 beetle, bone stock(for now) 26k miles < not kidding

'79 MB 240D my 4 year (and counting) project

    '87 300D (x2) one gray, one blue

and '95 E300 Diesel (my daily)

my big project in the works is going to start taking shape in Jan (after I move from Dayton to Tampa) on my Anthracite Gray 300D

I know my priorities were somewhat backwards, so don't yell at me for the massive 4x4 stance.

Sept of '09 it started as this:

I thought it paired quite well with my '95 E300 Diesel

They were laying around... so why not?

    Then Winter Status

    Because everyone is doing it?

Needed Change (R170 Sport wheels, Not W203 C230 wheels)

now we're up to July '10... and again, these were in the garage

    Then out of curiosity

Things have been delayed slightly due to some family emergencies, I'm posting this thread from SUNY university hospital in Syracuse because I've been sitting in an ICU waiting room for 36 hours now afraid to nod off or check into a hotel in fear of my phong ringing...

Also, this same 300D is getting a radiator, belt tensioner, head valve cover and intake gaskets, injectors, glow plugs, a few sensors, shocks, struts & rear brakes.

I put about 60k on it in the last year.... so given that this is the first actual round of "repairs" I feel very fortunate!

once my move is over with (the 300D will be hauling a great deal of things) I can start to focus on my overall goal with this car, luckily it requires little to no paint/body work, and my interior build has been rather extensive as well, in the area of OEM+ updates and audio work

Sorry about some of the crappy phone photos that I posted in said above thread

the E300 sits at a slightly more than comfortable daily height, and being a euro spec car having factory self leveling rear suspension, it makes it a bit of a PITA for me to figure out how to mod, efficiently

        but moar low is needed.

I think here I have the support that I won't get from benzworld peachparts, or MBCA!
