Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
Cool,
"137 and 120th dumped vDubs" u mean at that Costco??
I work the early morning shift all week, but I use to hangout across the street of the Home Depot on 88th..and at the POS meet at Discount Auto Parts down 88th also
Fuddruckers on US-1 has a meet full of different cars this week, first sat. of the month also..
opa loca to be exact, you wna help a homie roll his fenders ?
Haha, 'preciate that, good to see someone from SFL!
About rolling fenders, if ur whip is that cleanass DC2 in the avatar, unfortunately im not ur guy for the job.
Ive only rolled my AE86s in the past like i did this one but using a big ass hammer.
I'll end up with some chipping, some wavyness but ill didthe body work and leave it nuce and smooth.
Bc i dont mind doing the body work after i beat the sh*t out of my fenders, really bc of the fitment i had to roll paper thin and bang out (flare out) the arches.
i have never used a roller but thats what i recommend for your car.
My shit is 25yo and eventually will be painted so my method for rolling and flaring is much more brutal.
To keep it super clean, rent a roller, heat up the paint in the area (not too much or itll bubble) and go littleby little and go over again with slightly more pressure depending how flat u want it.
Theres write-ups everywhere and few vids on youtube but if u have any q's lmk

No real weight savings in doing this shit (besides aesthetics, cooling benefits and no need for hood pins like with FRP or CF) but figured I could use the $500+ i'd spend on an FRP vented hood for my AE86 and use it toward the Silvertop 20Valve swap,
****I had to decide exactly where the vent is placed in order to be perfectly functional.
I positioned the vent forward enough to allow the radiator to breath out all the hot air efficiently.
but not place it too far back to prevent rain from seeping in and around the engine.
80% finished, still gotta cut the side sections out of sheetmetal for the vent and get it primered/painted/welded not sure in what order until then the hood isnt fully functional
