  • New from CentralTexas

Central Texas is about how big of a wheel can fit under the fenders and must have ridiculous amounts of chrome. My neighbor's MustangGT has a higher lift than my 4x4 Trailblazer...

My car is a black 2010MazdaSpeed3, pretty much stock with a HKS intake. Not stanced, short on available shops that carry anything less than 20" and chrome. Will go with coilovers and work from there.

Some questions I haven't seen answered: How do people handle torque steer in their FWDs? Or will I have to take it low and slow? Clearing huge calipers, the new Speed has some large single piston fronts, have heard some wheels won't clear them? I think most buy their Speeds for performance, I like hatchbacks that go fast or at least look like they do, but I prefer form over function any day.

Not sure if the body style or fenders are adequate for what I am envisioning. The wide fender theme doesn't follow to the rear and pretty bland. I really don't want to follow the Enkei/Ray's trend though I think mesh or multi-piece wheels will not look right.

Baylor is where I will probably attend, though I would have to move it's not too far where I am now.

This is my 3rd new car in four years, first a 05 ImpalaSS and a 2009 WW EvoX and now my MS3. I have seen some first gen MS3s and 3s stanced, gen2 has it more resembling the RX-8, I really can't picture it with pulled fenders with how the fronts having the flare well above the actual fenders-maybe I will photochop it to see how it may look.

edit: saw a '10 MS3 going low with rolled fenders, looks sharp- checking out the available coilovers

Thanks, the smile isn't as pronounced in black, though I never had a problem with it. It's not even on a drop and have some bumper work to be done from scraping on steep drive-ways. The JSCspeed sticker and some flat trim tape cover it on the pass. side now I have some on the driver side where I curbed the wheel. The car seems to be a project already as much as I put into just keeping it up from DD use.
