Pretty sure yours is the only SL55AMG Ive seen on here... And Im almost certain people wont be copying you anytime soon

Just think its a bit silly people trying to keep their specs a secret... At the end of the day you build a car for yourself, and if you live in fear of someone copying your wheel specs then why bother

Royal_T (Edafe) had someone copy his car to the letter, Not just his wheels, his whole fkn car. He managed to bounce back bigger and better, Its all about your determination as a car modifier to be able to recreate something.....

All you have to do is look at Rusty Slamington to be inspired.

Pavel had the same thing happen with his e39 also after sharing offsets. I undertand where you are coming from with the whole thing of keeping the offsets private but I usually share mine as I rather see 10 well fitted e38s running around then 10 ugly ones. As far as i'm concerned my car will be different when I get it where I want it no matter what and its ALOT easier to copy my car then yours as the entire thing equals the value of your wheels.

Either way its your choice and I won't harass you for it...Car looks phenomenal for the last time.

I don't know man... you put in the work, you should be able to keep it to yourself. The reality is that the specs to these wheels are out on the web, so if you want to bad enough, you can find them.

With that said, if someone wants to know the details of the build bad enough, I'm sure a PM would be a step in the right direction. Just because someone doesn't want to post info in the out and open, I don't think that makes them any less of a enthusiast open to helping others. I did the same thing with the Lexus.. people want to know bad enough, contact me. The same for Mike and the S54 swap. He isn't gonna write out a schematic for everyone to follow and make it easily accessible... however, he will answer questions of those individuals who seek him out.

Fair enough, I know exactly where you and Ben are coming from..

But, Pavels 5 > all, forever and ever in my books

I love your rambling Ben, reminds me how young I am

OP, Keep doin your thing! Love it

            I want one.

I don't even like Mercs, and I really want one.

mmm, dont take this the wrong way. but OTHER people's offsets led me in the right direction for deciding on my own. This is exactly the kind of info that SHOULD be shared in a place like this.

Either way, nice ride. I love seeing cars like this. After taking so much shit on local BMW forums, I ended up here instead as well. I like seeing cars like this taken away from the traditional.

I come from a VW background, where a userbase of information sharing about swaps is half of the reason people keep coming back. I don't understand why someone would want to keep this kind of thing NOT easily accessible, but that's just the enthusiast in me speaking.
