  • Utah Noob.

What's up fellas, I'm Dave from Layton, Utah. Been a fan of the site for quite a while, but only now registered.

This is the daily shit-bucket - **** all you want, the car as you see it, including purchasing the rolling shell, all parts, registration, and the 2 quarts of oil I added this afternoon, has run me $517.39.

It's a '91 CR-X Si, with an '89 HF engine/trans downgrade [49mpg baby!], absolutely nothing in the interior, and it rolls on Mahle-BBS 13x6" +13 meshies off an early BMW 2002ti. Tires are Riken Radial 50s up front, and BFG Radial T/As out back, both sized 215/50-13.

The long-term roller is my pride and joy, an '87 Mitsubishi Starion ESi-R, that desperately needs some TLC after being abused by two previous owners.

For a while it sat on SVT Cobra Terminator wheels, sized 17x9 +24 front [30mm adapter for combined -6mm] and 17x10.5" +27 rear [50mm adapter for combined -23mm]. Tires were 225/45 Dunlops and 245/40 Bridgestones front and rear, respectively. Current rolling stock is a pair of borrowed 18x8.5" +35 XXR 962s with a 50mm adapter, and the OEM SHP-package 16x9" +0 rear wheels up front with no spacer.

The Starion currently sits awaiting a Nissan S13 steering rack, SN95 Cobra Mustang 13" front brakes and knuckles, and a Cobra 5.0 V8/T5 engine/trans combo from my donor '94 Cobra parts car. After that comes the cage, paint, and some deep-dish rolling stock.

Haha, small world. They sure are! Frankie's about ready to bust 9's all-motor with a K on ethanol.

Thanks for the welcome fellas. Here's to hoping I can learn some good stuff here, and do work.
