  • Hello from SCOTLAND

Hi all I'm Dean, 23 and live in both Scotland and England...I'm Scottish and love BMW's...here is a brief (with LOTS of pictures) history of the cars I've owned in the 6 years I've been able to own and drive my own car...Enjoy:

Heres some pictures I can find of various cars I've owned!

My second ever BMW...This was my 1996 318is...I had this when I was only 18 (In the UK this a hard car to insure when your young):

Here was the car I replaced that with...a 1993 318iS when I was 19 which was a M3 GT replica...Here it is in sunny Scotland!!!

    In Edinburgh Castle:

Anyway...in the time I had it it changed to look like this...from a magazine shoot:

Here is my 1992 325, inspired by the Stanceworks 325is...I used it as a hack and had plans to do something special, but you know the drill...you get your teeth into a project and well...Something else catches your eye...Well...I ended up breaking it for parts (making 20 times what I paid for it back) and it now races in the UK Kumho BMW Championship as a 318is race car!!! Here it is:

My 1988 E30 316, well not alot to same other than it lays at the end of my garage and one day...just one day it'll get a japanese engine...but whilst I'm at uni it makes an excellent parts bench LOL:

So I then grew up and bought this, a 1996 328i coupe...It was a dog...No really it was but I added genuine AC snitzer Remus Exhust sytem, Dave F induction, UUC Adjustable Carbon spoilers and so mush other things that didn't cost as much...Here it was:

At the famous Santa Pod drag strip:

    Well...another year another snowfall:

(Oh look theres my E30 LOL)

Anyway I feel you've seen enough of my old 2.8, best shot I ever took...In the most English of settings...A loud lairy BMW:

    RIP

Anyway lets skip to today...And here is what I'm driving now...an immaculate 1998 328 iSE...I'm now 23 and currently this is how I roll...Enjoy...If you like the pictures I may start a build thread:

    At the day job:

(Yes thats an Extra 300L aerobatic competition plane...My car lives with one )

In the Scottish Highlands (My birth place):

US front end on an OEM stock body...Totally illegal in UK...but thats how I roll

But plans are to get BBS RM's or RC's on the car after the winter months...and Bilstein PSS9 suspension.

Okay thats a brief (haha) history to date...I've been a BMW guy for a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg time now and hopefully you guys have enjoyed viewing my pictures as much as I have done sharing them. They are only a few of the previous rides...I didn't realise I loved it that much. LOL

Oh and I've just found this picture of myself...LOL...so hopefully I'll get a warm welcome on board:

Any comments welcomed...I'm a massve E36 fan and the dream is the M3 GT, but for now I can't even insure a stock M3 so I'll stick with a 328iSE and see what happens.

Thanks dude, my car history is all E36's because I love the shape and driving experience over later models, plus they have so much potential with todays technology

The plane, no I can't fly it, Its an aerobatic areoplane that competes in the Red Bull Air Race series...I'm learning an hour a week in a cessna 152 (really old crappy plane) so hopefully one day I can! But the car lives most of the time in the hanger next to it rather than at home in the garage!
