I bought the car in mid december
So ive just got in from viewing an e36 328.. I had a red one lined up and was supposed to be picking it up on the weekend but the guy was messing around and ended up saying he was going to keep the car so that was that out the window..
I went straight back on pistonheads and had a look around knowing that i wanted either red/white or something different i.e an individual
I came across a white auto model which i had seen a couple of weeks back but didn't consider it, anyway i thought i might as well have a look as it wasn't too far away. It turns out its not too bad at all and after working him down on the price over a couple of little things i left a deposit.
Originally i wanted a manual but seeing as this car isn't being built for speed it didn't bother me and the auto box seems pretty good, will rev straight up to the red line in sport mode no problem and it still feels fairly quick which was a surprise and sounds better than other 328's ive heard.
Its not the highest spec e36 ive seen but the colour is fairly rare and it has some nice touches which swayed me towards buying it.
Spec
Genuine 328 sport model
BMW Alpine white no.1
Full m'tec kit
m3 evo exhaust mated upto the 328 downpipe
m3 front splitter
328 half leathers
Xenon kit
Staggered rc041's and 042's
coilovers
NO RUST! :P
Ive been looking out for some BBS RS's for the last month or so knowing that i would have eventually got an e36 so when some came up on here for a reasonable price i picked them up asap..
anyway..
and the wheels lined up
BBS 302's 17x8's et 40
the offsets are quite high so gives me plenty of room to play with when it comes to spacing them out..
the rears will be 9.5j so these had to be ordered..
and to finish up
some 185/35's for the fronts and 215/35's for the rears, i always like to have matching make tyres all round but in this case nankang are the only company that make the 185/35 so i had to settle with them.. not that you will see the sidewall when they are buried in the arches
a bit of inspiration..
I am picking the car up on saturday and the tyres should be here then aswell.. not too sure about the rear dishes as they are coming from germany, hopefully ill have it all together by the end of next week..
