The E30 M3 has been, since my enthusiasm for BMW began, one of the coolest offerings from the marque, period. While it’s hard to ignore machines like the M1, the E9 CSL, or even my longtime favorite, the E28 M5, there’s something about the M3 that proves hard to beat.
There are few better ways to start off the week. Mondays don’t have to be all bad. We’re excited to share Part II of Peter Aylward’s photo series covering the 2018 Silverstone Classic. Be sure to check out more of Peter’s work on his website: www.peteraylward.co.uk, on Instagram at @peteraylward, and on facebook at facebook.
Back in March, crowds gathered for the 76th annual Goodwood Members’ Meeting, and with them was the talented Peter Aylward. Each year, Peter travels to the UK’s best vintage motor racing events, giving us here at StanceWorks the opportunity to live vicariously through his incredible imagery. Luckily for us, he loves to shoot, meaning not only one, but two photo-packed galleries of vintage racing goodness to cover 2018’s 76MM.
Cars are a funny thing. They are the reason that you’re here reading this article, they’re probably the catalyst for a number of your friendships, they often motivate our actions and influence our decisions, and on one particular morning, cars were the reason that my alarm had gone off far too early. I found myself sitting on the tarmac as the pilot awaited permission to be the first plane to take off that morning.
There’s a group of guys over in Germany focused on the artistry of the air-cooled automobile, and with each photoset that they toss into my inbox, I’m more and more impressed by their vision and taste. As evidenced by a number of Porsche builds that have graced the pages here on StanceWorks (911T + 912), the gents at Rooshers have a knack for air-cooled automobiles. They approach each build with a unique perspective that balances between two ends of the spectrum.
