Depending on how good you are with a dremel, maybe it would be possible to grind down an allen bit.

        BOL with the search.

Hi folks. It looks like we are in the same boat.
I'm searching for that damn tool for 2 months now. Nothing available anywere. I ordered the 8mm 10 points LASER TOOL Male bit that everybody on every forum recomands... but looks like it's too big for my OZ Opera II too.
The other option available for us is too take a chance with Pertsch and Parner from Germany (www.titanium-touch.de). I Already communicate with their service departement regarding info about their size 8, 10 points too. The tool is 7.86mm. so i's a 8mm with ''buffering'' to fit 8mm 10 points socket screws. Many people ordered it and fits ... but never one told us if they first tried the 8mm 10 pts from LASERTOOL before and that finaly the pertsch and Partner tool is smaller...

SO where the hell i'm goin with my elephant in the rollercoaster ?

I've contacted a local Tooling specialist machine shop here in Montréal. They told me, bring us a Wheel, we will provide you a tool to fit this bolt. We will also provide you a specific serial number so you'll be able to re-order the same exact tool if you need, but we suggesting you to order them 3 to 4 at a time because we have to bill you at least 115 $ per invoice.

They confirmed me, that the tool, ordered by two, would be Under 75 $ each. and by 3 or 4, in the 50-55 $ area. But cant confirm the exact price over 3-4 units untill they did the first one and have a ''real'' production time and fees for the other units.

Tool will be Carbide, made of a durable steel, garanteed to work with smaller than 8mm (we all say 7mm, because 8mm bit donc fit... but nobody know the real size at this moment).

I''ll ask on vortex for other people who should have the tool too, to lower the price, but somewhere between 60 and 80, shipped, looks like a good deal, considering the Petrsch and Partner, not sure to fit tool, at 95 euro shipped in america (somewhere in 130-160 USD ...).

PM me or Email me if anybody want one, with the number of people and with your adresses i'll be able to give you a ''10 $ bufferred'' price...

Sorry if my English is far from perfect, i'ts my second language...

This does not work, to anyone who is about to buy these:

Laser Tool 8mm 10 point does not fit OZ Opera wheels.
I had to modify mine to use it.

That's exactly the tool i'm talking about at the begining of my msg, and don't work for me as well...

Did you just buff it on a bench grinder and redo ''kind of splines'' with a triangular hand limer ?

Yes, got it to fit that way. It did not look very reliable, but worked. I only took apart one wheel.
I still have one unmolested 8mm left.

                          Go slow.
Don't remove too much material at once.
                          Good luck.

Does the time and work Worth 100 $ ? I mean, if I'm to spend 4 hours on modifiing the tool. i'll go at the machine shop and pay the 100 $ to have a perfect fit tool ...
