Okay, been a while since i last updated this thread, mostly due to not knowing where to start from.

So, after receiving the seat mounts from RECARO, it was time to start installing the TILLETT seats.

First i had a go at the passenger side, to test things out.

But before that, I had to assemble the mounts with the seats. I did that at home, cause I wanted a clean enviroment and plenty of time to do things properly.

      Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Applied plenty of natural wax to protect the clear coat of the seats

      Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Added some gloss black vinyl in the sides, where clothes would touch while going in and out of the car, and also, the seatbelt strap, to protect the carbon fiber.

Also, added some rubber strip to protect the seats from where the side mounts touch the seat when installed

Then they were ready for installation

      Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

And out came the first seat from the car

And in went the first one

While i still had one seat installed i decided to pass the techical inspection so as the technician (MOT) guy doesnt get to seat in the new seat. And after the MOT pass, I could then install the driver's side seat.

        So inspection time it was.

Little did I know that car had its own opinion

        Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

While on the last ramp of inspection decided it was a good time to start leaking from a water hose, the one going to the heater at the back of the engine near the firewall

        Bought a new housing thing

        Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

And also all the hoses included

        Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Then it was time for the second seat

Brilliant job, as always, been following your build threads for years now. Love the carbon accents, thinking about doing the same to some parts myself.
Where did you buy the film tape for door trims, or can you tell me who is the manufacturer?

Thank you very much for the good words. If you wish, give me a follow on instagram for faster reply to and chat. As for the door trim, if you mean the gloss black on window surround, it was from ebay, a german company, the brand of the film is ORACLE, and i can search to find the specific shop if you wish .

                        • Decided to change faces and keep the rear unit it had from factory while having the all new buttons , screes and faces, due to coding issues from the extra heated seats the initial unit didnt have.

                          Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

                          These came in handy

                          Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Luckily everything went in perfectly and now it both works as it should and also is new

                          Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

In my mind, I am thinking of installing this, at least the rear section of it

                          Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

However i cant seem to find the mounting kit for it somewhere among piles of car parts through the years. I asked wiechers the price for a new kit, and it wasnt expensive so i ordered one and received it shortly after

Surely enough, I knew, that some hours, or days later after receiving the new kit, the old one would magically pop out of nowhere to say hi i am back. And of course it did, lmao.

Refurbished the fire extinguisher of this car too

                          • Then it was time to FINALLY install all the new and refurbished parts i had for the suspension, geometry, mounts, and more.
Some pics from the process. The pile of parts is in previous post, detailed, and it mainly consists of AC compressor, suspension, all front wishbones and links, all rear wishbones and links, gearbox mount, and 034 Motorport front hub mount, to go with the already previously installed STERN engine mounts.
Also afterwards a much needed alignment, since nothing was left untouched.
Also lets not forget, the front subframe swap with the freshly painted one, with solid aluminum 034 mounts installed on it. Such a great product that adds rigidity and feel to the car.

                            Out with the OEM

                            • Another huge "must do" on my "to-do-list", was to finish the headliner and the rest of the interior that was still white. The plan was to do that first, and then, see how installing the cage, or part of it that is wrapped in alcantara since 2013 for the other car, goes.

I already had a headliner wrapped in alcantara, but it was only the half front (the back half was chopped off), and also only the front a to b pillars sections. Reason for that, was, that in the other car, only the front part of the cabin would have passengers. Although that might be the case here as well, I wanted the whole headliner done, so using those pieces , was sadly out of the question. I will keep them however for the other A4 and install them there and see how it goes.

Great, but only the half of it in existence

                              Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

So we must make another one.

Started removing a lot of parts. At this point it is very easy working on interiors, especially on these cars.

Over some time, i had acquired all the parts of the headliner i needed in black, some of them new, and some used in great condition from S4 B6 and Rs4 B7

Pillars removed and headliner was next

                              Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Decided to keep the lower section of the rear seats, as it was both light weight, it looks good if done in black alcantara to match the rest of the interior, and also, it allows you to sit on it without hurting yourself as a rear seat delete usually does. And i really do not look forward to that when i install the rear part of the cage.

                              Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

So let's start assembling the puzzle. Luckily on the A4 if you have opted for the extra folding rear seats, you get to have the ability to pass the headliner through this opening here

                              Untitled by mgpdoc, on Flickr

Which trust me is a HUGE bonus, not having to remove the passenger seat otherwise. Ask me how i know.

                              In it goes then

                              • Received some more goodies. Among them, there were carbon fiber and carbon kevlar key cover made from the osir original ones, and also the trunk latch plastic cover made in cf.

Also tried to find some seat covers for when the car needs to sit in the shop for some reason, to cover the TILLETT seats.

These seem to do the trick

Anothet thing I wanted to try was the fender sidemarkers / blinkers, which come in white from factory. In the past i had tinted them, which looks great with the car theme, dark wheels, and carbon fiber body parts. This time around however I wanted to try amber, inspired by the BMWs of the older era. Started with these, which i cleaned as well as i could
